Our Story

Wolves Lane Flower Company is a micro urban flower farm with an organic and sustainable approach. Run by Marianne Mogendorff and Camila Romain, two flower obsessives, committed to a belief that beauty and diversity needn't be compromised at the expense of the environment.

We grow on our plot in north London among fig trees, the occasional bramble and in a 40m glasshouse. Our flowers are seasonal, scented and never treated with chemicals or pesticides. We are excited to be part of a new wave of farmer/florists committed to offering ethical, beautiful flowers while spreading the word about seasonality.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN…

Wolves Lane Flower Company began at breakfast. Camila had just quit her job as a fashion producer but was yet to formulate a plan about what came next.

Over breakfast with a mutual friend, Marianne described an amazing growing site round the corner from her house. A vast (at least for London) network of glasshouses on a 3.5 acre site that while faded and a little dishevelled had bags of potential.

After a visit together and some pretty extended internet research we discovered that Haringey Council were looking to repurpose it and find new organisations to work there. Eight months later (and you’ll have to buy us a drink for the full story) and we’d secured a plot of outdoor space and a glasshouse to give flower farming a shot.

Having spent the first two years setting up our micro flower farm around day jobs, growing and floristry training and a baby, from October 2018 we finally felt like we could focus on our plans more fully plunging in full time. In 2022 we’re excited to continue to try and cram as many beautiful flowers into our little plot as possible & to keep inspiring others to give flower growing a go.
