Working with seasonal flowers is a unique and meaningful way of capturing a moment in time that’s never to be repeated. We select our most beautiful flowers from the cutting garden and while we will know the potential seasonal ingredients available, the subtle seasonal changes of the weather or the seeds we select to sow each year will make each design unique. There is no off-the-peg with growing flowers and we think your day will be the richer for it!
The process of designing your wedding flowers should be a collaborative one. We draw on our past experience as Producers in fashion and theatre to ensure you’re spending your budget effectively to ensure you will enjoy the most memorable and beautiful flowers possible.
Our flowers are in bloom from spring (usually mid-March) to autumn when the first frosts arrive but get in touch if you’re planning a winter wedding and greenery, dried flowers, grasses and sculptural seed heads sound good to you.
In the first instance we ask that you complete our consultation form - then we’ll get in touch to let you know if the date is available and to begin discussing ideas.
As a rule of thumb, there are two approaches to using WLFC for your wedding:
GET YOUR HANDS (not too) DIRTY
If you’re on a tight budget or like the idea of getting creative and arranging the venue flowers yourself but don’t want the stress of creating bouquets and buttonholes then this is the option for you. We'll discuss ideas via phone and email, supply bundles of freshly cut flowers from our cutting garden ready for collection a day or two before your wedding, and deliver your bridal party flowers on the big day.
LEAVE IT ALL TO WLFC
If you’re thinking big and you’d like us to take care of all of the flowers, sit down with you and discuss tumbling floral arches, aisle meadows, or any other ideas (however vague they may currently be!), and create a design to encompass how flowers will feature throughout your day, we can oversee all aspects of your floristry design and execution to create something amazing.
We’ve created a guide to help you through the process of establishing your ideas, budget, and to suggest the elements you might not have thought about yet. For a copy of this, complete our consultation form and we’ll email it over.
